Not long ago, I notice an interesting tattoo on the forearm of a fairly new person working here. It read, “Not all who wander are lost.” It reminded me of another saying…”Life is about the journey, not the destination.”
When embarking on any journey, we must make certain preparations and bring along certain necessary things. Of course, we cannot foresee every event, but we try to prepare ourselves, as well as our children, the best that we can. For success along life’s journey, this includes things such as integrity, patience, fortitude, courage, and a sense of responsibility, as well as belief in one’s principles and a strong work ethic.
I want to take this week to let my children know, in case I don’t say it often enough, how proud I am of the amazing young adults they have become, and what an honor it is to share my life’s journey with them.
